The position is based in Munich and reports to the Medical Device Engineering Lead. It is an office-based role with 5 days required on site. The Lab Technician contributes to the development of the company's ultrasound imaging platform. This role is part of the team responsible for supporting the development of a medical ultrasound platform for intracardiac imaging. The Lab Technician has responsibility for a busy test lab (including preventative maintenance of equipment, calibration, IQ/OQ activities etc), device/development testing, test method development/validation. This will involve collaboration with the broader team to provide input associated with each area of responsibility. It will also require close work in multi-disciplinary teams to facilitate the generation of applicable documentation and records. In line with the design controls process, the person in this role will then be involved in the development and execution of test plans and protocols to determine if the design outputs satisfy the design inputs.
YOUR ROLE WILL BE
Support the testing and development of complex software controlled electro-mechanical systems for medical ultrasound and related test setups, involving hardware components, embedded software, Artificial Intelligence enabled features and Cybersecurity.
Collaborate in the design, planning, set-up, execution, documentation and review of test methods.
Carry out critical device testing (e.g. Design Verification, Batch Release) with meticulous care and attention.
Participate in prototyping, debugging and failure analysis as well as working with lab procedures and equipment.
Complete first article and incoming inspection of parts used in product qualification and clinical builds.
Responsible for maintaining a busy working lab and associated equipment; IQ/OQ, calibration, maintaining equipment records in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices.
Exemplify a strong work ethic and autonomy with a team-oriented mindset as necessary in a start-up environment.
WHAT YOU OFFER
Education and Knowledge profile:
MUST: Have Bachelor or Master’s Degree in related discipline
MUST: 2+ years experience in a laboratory environment within a regulated industry (e.g. medical, pharmaceutical, automotive, aerospace).
MUST: Experience in rapid prototyping, debugging and failure analysis as well as working with lab procedures and equipment.
MUST: Have experience working within a Quality Management System.
MUST: Communication in English.
MUST: Have experience creating test protocols and writing test reports
SHOULD: Have experience in verification testing.
SHOULD: Have experience writing test reports.
SHOULD: Have familiarity with working with complex systems.
SHOULD: Have experience working in a startup environment.
