The Dr. Werner Jackstädt Endowed Chair in Management Control & Accounting is located in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship within the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences.
As a research assistant, you will support the chairholder in teaching, research, and academic self-governance. You will play an active role in further developing the chair’s profile and will have the opportunity to pursue your own research interests. The research focuses on performance measurement and incentive design in companies, as well as the effects of AI-supported information and decision-support systems. Both theoretical and, in particular, experimental research methods are used.
We are seeking for a Research Assistant (m/f/d) starting at October 1, 2026, part-time or full-time (32-40 hours per week). The position is limited to a fixed term of 3 years.
Ihre Aufgaben
- Contribution to research, teaching, and the academic self-governance of the chair

Completion of a doctoral dissertation and participation in research and publication projects

Support for externally funded projects, academic events, and international collaborations

Participation in teaching, as well as supervision of seminars and theses

Participation in international conferences and continuing education programs
Ihr Profil
- A university degree in economics (Master’s or equivalent) completed with excellent grades, ideally with a focus on controlling or accounting

Interest in academic research and pursuing a Ph.D. in the field of Controlling

Solid subject knowledge and the ability to conduct independent academic research

A structured approach to work, dedication, the ability to work well in a team, and strong organizational skills

A passion for teaching, as well as excellent written and spoken German and English skills
