Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer for Embedded Systems & Development Methods (f/m/div.), you will be primarily responsible for the conception, implementation, and testing of high-quality, reusable C code for our embedded software platform.

You will actively shape and optimize our software development methods and processes, for both internal and external customers, to ensure efficiency and quality.

Analyzing and solving complex technical challenges within the context of our build environment and hardware abstraction also falls within your area of responsibility.

In doing so, you will work closely with your team members to ensure the seamless integration of all software components.

Your expertise will contribute significantly to the further development of our embedded systems, ensuring their functionality and performance.
Qualifications

Education: completed degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable qualification

Experience and Know-How: Implementation of complex technical requirements into robust, maintainable embedded software solutions; Systematic analysis and independent resolution of in-depth technical problems with strong problem-solving skills; Methodical analysis and improvement of existing software development processes; Holistic system understanding of the entire development process (from requirements to integration); Professional C programming for resource-constrained systems; Application development against APIs of basic software (operating system/core software); Knowledge of the entire embedded software lifecycle (analysis, design, implementation, testing); Understanding of microcontroller architectures and hardware/software interaction; Practical knowledge of development tools (compiler, debugger, static analysis, Git); Desirable: Knowledge of fault management, parameter management, and communication services (e.g., CAN)
