Due to continued expansion, we are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to be based on a prominent client project based in the Leinster area. This role is critical in supervising fast-moving projects in industrial/process or semiconductor environments, reporting directly to the Project Manager on site.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Oversee all mechanical installations to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
Manage and coordinate the activities of specialist sub-contractors to maintain project schedules and quality.
Attend and contribute to weekly site progress meetings, monitor daily contractor performance, and drive continuous improvement.
Handle day-to-day site operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Set, monitor, and achieve project milestones and deliverables with technical proficiency.
Conduct on-site toolbox talks to promote team safety and operational efficiency.
Order necessary materials, liaise with suppliers regarding deliveries and costs, and ensure timely availability of resources.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with all project stakeholders, fostering a collaborative project environment.
Ensure adherence to Weltec's Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS), and quality standards on site, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
Key Skills and Competencies:
Minimum of 5 years in a Mechanical Supervisor role or similar, with a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Relevant mechanical trade qualification.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Windows, MS Office, Excel, and project management software.
Excellent professional references attesting to previous project successes and leadership capabilities.
Experience in the semiconductor industry is advantageous but not essential.
