The Role
Battery Cells are the common denominator for every Tesla product. Our environment is fast-paced and incredibly exciting. Tesla moves quickly, so being passionate and self-motivated to push your limits is critical.
The GFBB Cell team is looking for a Production Planner who will work closely with Demand Planning, Supply Chain Planning and all Cell shops incl. logistic & quality to ensure Tesla’s production plans are effectively setup to enable the factory to be successful.
The Production Planner will be responsible for developing the production schedule, communicating it out permanently to the organization and managing all plan changes.

Develop an understanding of cell manufacturing processes, material requirements, and production constraints to technically assess the impact of changes on the supply chain and program timelines.

Partner closely with all relevant stakeholders and lead production planning and forecasting for all cell operations at GFBB.

Develop and maintain ramp plans for new product introductions in close collaboration with cross- functional stakeholders - aligning volume targets with equipment readiness, staffing, and material availability.

Lead the cross-functional change management process when issues occur affecting the production plan.

Align with Supply Chain Planning to understand supply constraints (capacity/mix limitations, logistics issues) and incorporate these into the scheduling algorithm.

Build the model and run the analysis to identify the most effective solution for the factory - minimizing costs and maximizing revenue opportunity.

Attend program meetings to understand impacts of new priorities, variants, and materials on production and ensure that the production plan is feasible and fully executable.

Participate in the daily factory operational review to understand and maintain the health of material flow through the factory.

Own reporting on factory status and performance (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) to production management and key stakeholders across the organization.

Pull data from the ERP and production management systems to understand status.

Use data visualization tools such as Tableau to generate status reports.
What You'll Bring-
Degree in Engineering or equivalent in experience.

2–5 years of related experience in materials management, production planning, or material scheduling in a manufacturing environment.

Strong analytical capabilities — including data analysis to optimize plans relative to different constraint factors (equipment capacity, staffing plans, material availability).

Experience managing change through a factory (e.g., New Product Introductions).

Proficiency in analytical and reporting tools (SQL, Python, Jupyter Notebooks) is a strong plus.

Fluent in English; German is a plus.

Organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

Focus on solving problems from first principles.

Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines.

Strong sense of ownership and a positive attitude.
