Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer Air Filtration to drive the development of advanced air filtration systems for cleanroom applications in semiconductor, electronics, life sciences, and pharmaceutical industries.

You will lead the technical development of products such as filter fan units and related system solutions, define concepts and requirements, oversee the design of complex assemblies, and ensure robust validation and industrial feasibility. Detailed CAD work and drawings are mainly handled by designers and draftsmen in the team, while you provide the technical direction and engineering ownership.

Compensation Data

Provided that all tasks and requirements are fulfilled, the position will be classified in grade G5 based on a 40-hour working week.

Your Responsibilities

Lead development of air filtration systems and filter fan units
Define concepts, specifications, and system interfaces
Oversee design of housings, fan systems, electronics integration, and filter elements
Assess feasibility, risks, cost, performance, and compliance
Guide testing, validation, and product optimization
Collaborate with Product Management on market requirements and roadmap planning
Work with internal Design teams on detailed design and drawings
Support prototyping, industrialization, and product changes

Your Profile

Education: Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
Experience: Several years of experience in product development of technical systems
Expertise:
- Strong design engineering expertise with the ability to lead design activities across project teams
- Knowledge of air filtration, HVAC, cleanroom, or related technologies is preferred
- Good understanding of CAD development processes; experience with CATIA and/or SolidWorks is an advantage
Language Skills: Fluent German and English communication skills, both written and spoken
Personality:
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions
- Willingness to travel up to 20%
