Your Role
Join our SiC Technology R&D team at Infineon for a hands-on bachelor thesis focused on the electrical characterization of the latest generations of SiC power switches. You will perform laboratory measurements on advanced device structures, analyze and visualize the resulting data, and derive meaningful performance comparisons across different power switch embodiments. In the final stage, you will interpret observed differences, identify underlying physical and technological mechanisms, and contribute to a deeper understanding of device behavior and performance trade-offs.Key responsibilities in your new role

Take responsibility: Hands-on electrical characterization of state-of-the-art SiC power devices

Keep the overview: Interpretation of results and identification of underlying mechanisms

Shape the future: Performance comparison between different device embodiments and test conditions

Data is everything: Data processing, analysis, and visualization (e.g., curve extraction, parameter trends)
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

Study field: Bachelor student in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field

Skills: Basic lab experience and programming/data tools (e.g., Python/Matlab/Excel) are a plus

Interest: Interest in power semiconductors, device characterization, and data analysis

Language skills: Fluent in english. German is a plus
