Your Role
As an Industry Principal for S/4HANA data migration projects, you will own and drive the end-to-end data migration workstream across global SAP Transformation & Rollout programs. You will define the migration strategy, governance framework, execution roadmap, quality controls and cutover readiness approach required to move business-critical data from legacy platforms into SAP S/4HANA with accuracy, completeness and business confidence.
You will lead global and regional data migration teams, coordinate with business data owners, process leads, functional consultants, technical teams, PMO and client leadership, and ensure that all data objects, templates, mappings, cleansing activities, load cycles, reconciliations, validations and sign-offs are managed in line with the overall program plan.
The role requires strong leadership, structured delivery discipline and deep understanding of SAP data migration across master data, transactional data and reconciliation of Balance Sheet. You will act as the primary point of accountability for data migration quality, risks, dependencies, stakeholder communication and go-live readiness across multiple releases, countries, business units and functional streams, while managing multiple rollout waves in parallel and ensuring consistent governance, prioritization and execution focus across each rollout.
Required Experience/Skill Set-
Strong experience leading end-to-end SAP S/4HANA data migration programs, including strategy, planning, extraction, transformation, cleansing, loading, reconciliation, validation and cutover support.

Proven ability to manage global data migration delivery across multiple countries, releases, business units, process areas and data domains.

Deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA data objects across key functional areas such as Finance, Procurement, Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Projects, Customer, Vendor, Material, BOM, Routings, Pricing and Open Items.

Hands-on knowledge of data migration tools and approaches such as SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit, SAP BODS/Data Services, LTMC/LTMOM, MYD, ETL tools, SQL-based data profiling and template-based data load frameworks.

Experience defining and managing data migration governance, including scope control, object ownership, data quality rules, mapping standards, issue management, risk tracking, quality gates and business sign-offs.

Ability to work closely with business stakeholders to drive data cleansing, enrichment, ownership, validation and readiness activities before each mock load and production cutover.

Strong knowledge of migration mock cycles, dress rehearsals, defect resolution, reconciliation reporting, trial conversions, go-live preparation and hypercare support.

Excellent stakeholder management, communication, escalation handling and leadership skills, with the ability to influence senior client stakeholders, SI partners, data owners and cross-functional project teams.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify data risks, dependency impacts, quality gaps and remediation actions early in the program lifecycle.

Experience in managing teams of data leads, migration analysts, functional consultants and technical developers across onsite, nearshore and offshore delivery models.

Candidate should demonstrate strong delivery ownership, attention to detail and the ability to balance program timelines with data quality, compliance and business readiness expectations.
Preferred Experience/Skill Set-
Experience delivering data migration for large global SAP S/4HANA greenfield, brownfield or selective transformation programs.

Exposure to SAP Activate methodology, fit-to-standard delivery, agile or hybrid project execution models and multi-release rollout planning.

Experience with data governance, master data management, MDG, data ownership models, data stewardship and enterprise data quality frameworks.

Knowledge of data archiving, data retention, compliance, audit controls, privacy requirements and migration-related security considerations.

Familiarity with integration validation, reporting validation, downstream system dependencies and reconciliation across SAP and non-SAP platforms.

Experience using automation, dashboards, data quality KPIs or reporting tools to monitor migration progress, defects, readiness and reconciliation outcomes.

SAP certification in S/4HANA, data migration, SAP BODS/Data Services, SAP Activate, data governance or related disciplines would be advantageous.

Prior consulting experience in managing client-facing SAP transformation engagements, proposals, solutioning or data migration workstream leadership.
