We are hiring a Senior Business Analyst with strong experience in Mortgage Banking, Lending, Credit Risk, Consumer Finance, Loan Origination, or Banking Transformation for a leading banking client in Frankfurt, Germany (Hybrid).
The role will focus on mortgage and lending process transformation, credit lifecycle improvement, business requirements gathering, stakeholder management, process mapping, functional documentation, user stories, and UAT support.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, technology teams, and operations teams to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Support mortgage banking, lending, and credit process transformation initiatives.
- Analyze current-state and future-state lending processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare business requirements documents, functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
- Support loan origination, credit decisioning, mortgage lifecycle, consumer finance, and lending workflow initiatives.
- Coordinate with IT teams to ensure business requirements are clearly understood and delivered.
- Support UAT planning, test case preparation, test execution, defect management, and business sign-off.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and support communication between business and technology teams.
- Contribute to banking transformation, process optimization, and digital banking initiatives.
Required Experience
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst, Senior Business Analyst, IT Business Analyst, Product Owner, or Functional Analyst within Banking or Financial Services.
- Experience in Mortgage Banking, Lending, Consumer Finance, Corporate Lending, Credit Risk, Loan Origination, or Credit Decisioning.
- Good understanding of lending lifecycle, mortgage processes, credit assessment, loan documentation, and banking workflows.
- Hands-on experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, functional specifications, user stories, stakeholder workshops, and UAT.
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with both business and technical teams.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, BPMN, SQL, or similar tools is a plus.
- German language proficiency B2/C1 preferred.
- English proficiency required.
- Must be comfortable with a Frankfurt, Germany hybrid working model.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with mortgage lending platforms, loan origination systems, core banking systems, or digital banking platforms.
- Knowledge of credit risk, regulatory banking requirements, KYC/AML, and customer onboarding.
- Experience in banking transformation or process improvement projects.
- Prior experience with German or European banking clients will be highly preferred.
