About The Role
We are looking for a Software Developer to join our team in Linz and contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Megatron, our internal digitisation and automation platform. In this role you will work on automating data entry and update processes, support document processing workflows, and help build the tooling that enables our team to work more efficiently at scale.
This is a hands-on development role suited to someone with a solid software engineering foundation who is eager to take ownership, work independently, and make a tangible impact on how we handle data and documentation across active client projects.
Location
Kontrol is encouraging a hybrid work model with two office days a week in Linz.
What You’ll Do
- Contribute to the development and improvement of Megatron, Kontrol's internal digitisation and automation platform
- Automate data entry and update processes to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy across client projects
- Develop and maintain UI tooling to support internal workflows
- Work with PDF analysis and document splitting pipelines, handling a range of document formats including regulatory and legal texts
- Integrate with external APIs and internal systems to support automated data flows
- Support manual data entry and update tasks in the short term while progressively automating these through platform development
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team to align development priorities with active project timelines
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in software development
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Experience with API integration and building reliable data pipelines
- Comfortable working with various document formats; experience with legal or regulatory texts is an advantage
- AI development experience, including working with AI APIs, is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a precise and structured approach to work
- Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks with minimal supervision
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Business-fluent in both German and English
