Your Role
As Finance Excellence Manager (m/f/d) you will be part of our One Digital IT Department and report to our Head of IT Strategy and Operational Excellence. This role is responsible for setting the foundation of robust financial governance ensuring IT investments allign with business value delivery.
This Leader will be a trusted advisor to our CDIO and IT Leadership Team, proactively shaping the cost, value and risk landscape of IT while challenging the status quo and elevating financial transparency.
This role is a fulltime position to be located in our global Headquarters in Holzminden, Germany.
- Drive Financial Excellence in IT
- Build and embed an IT Financial Excellence framework across budgeting, forecasting, planning, and reporting.
- Develop multi-year IT financial plans that align with digital transformation and enterprise strategy.
- Establish IT cost transparency and unit cost modelling (e.g., cost per user, per application, per service).
- Lead monthly financial performance reviews with ITLT — highlighting variances, cost drivers, financial risks, and levers for optimization.
- Create financial dashboards and KPIs (e.g., run vs. grow vs. transform spend, project ROI, investment lifecycle tracking). Track internal and external personnel spend working with HR.
- Baseline and track One Digital transformation against the business case, supporting the Transformation Office
- Partner with Corporate Finance to ensure delivery of the above and alignment between corporate accounting and IT operational finance.
- Identify and implement cost optimization opportunities (e.g., demand rationalization, contract restructuring, consumption rightsizing).
- Executive-Level Business Partnership
- Serve as a key advisor to the CDIO and Head of Strategy & Operational Excellence — translating IT financials into actionable executive insights.
- Work across ITLT leadership team (Applications, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Digital Workplace, Regions...) to advise leaders on how to better plan, execute, and track their financial footprint.
- Contribute to enterprise planning cycles (Annual, MRP, Quarterly Forecasts) as the IT Finance lead.
- Participate in executive governance forums if required (e.g., IT Investment Board (DAT), Transformation Steering Committee).
- Influence senior stakeholders across IT and Business — promoting financially responsible decision-making.
- People Leadership & Change Management
- Lead by example — bringing a finance-first lens to IT operations, projects, and strategy.
- Coach and mentor ITLT on financial accountability, vendor strategy, and commercial awareness.
- Champion a culture of transparency, value-for-money, and continuous financial improvement.
- Introduce training and tools to elevate financial literacy across IT teams.
About You
- Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, IT Management, or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in IT financial management within large/global companies.
- Proven ability to manage and optimize multi-million euro IT.
- Demonstrated success in building financial frameworks.
- Strong negotiation skills, commercial acumen, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Familiarity with IT governance and financial tools (e.g., SAP, Power BI, Apptio, ServiceNow).
