Are you the Business Development Manager we are looking for?
As Business Development Manager, you will play a key commercial role in expanding Kadans' presence within the German market. You identify ambitious companies looking to establish, expand or scale their activities. By understanding both their infrastructure requirements and wider business objectives, you develop commercial propositions that create long-term value for the customer as well as for Kadans.
This is a highly relationship-driven commercial role in which long-term partnerships form the basis for sustainable growth. You develop new business opportunities, build trusted partnerships and guide customers from the first conversation through to a successful agreement.
How will you achieve this?
- Build trusted, long-term relationships across Germany's science and innovation sectors, including biotech, pharma, universities, research institutes, investors, government organisations, incubators, and industry partners.
- Identify companies looking to establish, expand or scale and understand both their infrastructure requirements and broader strategic ambitions.
- Position Kadans as a long-term innovation partner rather than simply a provider of laboratory and office space.
- Introduce companies to relevant partners across the Kadans network, creating opportunities for collaboration, investment, and growth, while strengthening the ecosystems surrounding our campuses.
- Represent Kadans at leading scientific, investment and innovation events, becoming a recognised ambassador for our platform.
- Develop commercial opportunities from the initial conversation through to successful occupation while building long-term customer relationships.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across Development, Leasing, Marketing, Asset Management, and the wider European Business Development team, while supporting international companies in identifying the best strategic fit across our European network.
- A gross monthly salary between €6,000 and €7,500, based on a 40-hour working week, complemented by a discretionary bonus scheme.

Where will you work?
You will primarily focus on growing Kadans' presence across Germany, with particular attention to our campuses in Berlin, Mainz, and Aachen.
As part of the German commercial team, you will work closely with colleagues in Development, Leasing, Marketing, Asset Management and Property Management. At the same time, you will collaborate with the wider European Business Development team, enabling international customers to identify the most suitable locations across our European network.
Your success will be reflected in the strength of the relationships you build, the opportunities you create for customers, the growth of the innovation ecosystems around our campuses and your contribution to expanding Kadans' presence across Germany and Europe.
