About the role:
At Nect we are proud of the quality of our products, especially the ease of use of our apps! But do not be fooled, below the easily accessible user experience is a complex system that fulfills various security, compliance, and technological requirements. Machine learning plays an important role in creating value for our customers and users.
If you are interested in building our QA strategy from ground up, creating test plans together with our Product and Engineering leadership and eventually strive for automation, but also don’t shy away from coordinating and doing the actual tests then look no further!
You are responsible for:
- Define, implement, and continuously improve the QA strategy across iOS, Android, web platforms, machine learning services, and APIs

Lead and develop a high-performing QA team with a strong focus on enablement, feedback culture, and continuous growth

Manage team performance through regular 1:1s, structured reviews, and clear goal setting

Own defect management end-to-end: collect, triage, reproduce, and manage bugs through their lifecycle

Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to create, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans

Coordinate and, where necessary, actively perform manual testing to ensure product quality

Drive test automation initiatives and establish scalable, efficient testing processes

Provide clear reporting, insights, and recommendations to Product and Engineering leadership
You bring with you:
- 3+ years of experience in QA Management, ideally in a cross-functional product environment

2+ years of leadership experience with a strong focus on enabling and empowering teams

Strong people management skills, including regular 1:1s, performance management, and goal setting (budget responsibility is a plus)

Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback and build trust through empathy

Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders

Structured and detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement

ISTQB certification or equivalent qualifications are a plus

Understanding of accessibility standards and quality management frameworks (e.g. ISO 9001) is a plus
-
Fluency in English and German is required
