The Universities of Cologne and Bonn, the MPI for Radio-
Astronomy, and Forschungszentrum Jülich are establish-
ing the new Cluster of Excellence ‘Our Dynamic Universe’
(DYNAVERSE). The coordination is based at the Institute of
Astrophysics in Cologne.
YOUR TASKS
Scientific coordination of the Cluster of Excellence and all
related tasks, including:
» Preparation of scientific content (e.g. from astrophysics)
also for popular science purposes, websites, etc
» Creative development and implementation of new
formats for scientific collaboration and communication
» Organization of conferences, collaboration meetings,
workshops, colloquia, and similar events
» Support in preparing scientific funding proposals
» Independent coordination and close collaboration
within the team
YOUR PROFILE
» You hold a degree (doctorate thesis, PhD or equivalent)
in a natural science subject
» You have experience in writing scientific grant
proposals
» You can work independently as well as in a team
» You have knowledge of LaTeX
» You have skills in creating and maintaining websites
» You have very good communication skills
» You speak and write German and English fluently
» You have experience in project management

the pay scale for the German public sector.
