We're looking for a Machine Learning Intern to build AI-powered tools that transform how HR works at Tesla. You'll work independently on high-impact projects, move fast, and see your code in production —used by thousands of employees across the company.
What You'll Do-
Design, develop, and ship AI-powered software solving real HR problems with measurable impact

Own your projects end-to-end: from understanding the problem from HR stakeholders, to writing the code, to deploying and maintaining the solution

Extend existing systems with modern LLM capabilities to solve complex business problems

Work with HR partners, data engineers, and recruiting teams to understand problems and build solutions

Apply software engineering best practices including version control, CI/CD, and containerization
What You'll Bring-
You've built and deployed something that other people actually used — in any stack. A live side project, a tool for your student org, freelance work, an open source contribution. Show us.

Strong programming fundamentals and the ability to pick up new technologies quickly

Genuine curiosity about AI — you experiment with new models and tools as they come out and can separate what's working from what's hype

Good instincts for what's worth building. You think about impact, not just implementation.

Self-starter with a strong bias for action — you take initiative and drive projects forward independently.

Excellent English. German is a plus.

Experience with web development stacks

Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and React is a big plus

Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL is a plus

Degree in Computer Science or a related field is a plus
