The internship assignment:
You’ll be part of the Material Planning team, which is an international, experienced, fun, and vital team at Tesla. We are seeking an Intern, Program Manager Material Planning, to support the planning and delivery of materials for the launch of new programs until the successful transition to sustainable planning. Most importantly, you will support us in our day-to-day business and participate in additional project activities.
What You'll Do-
Support activities related to Material Planning from prototype phase through SOP and various other Supply Chain Planning activities.

Ensure supply chain planning processes are followed in all doings (e.g. purchase orders are available, matching with BOM and demand is accurate, etc.). Validate, troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies.

Drive communication with Material Planners on MBOM accuracy and tracking from an MRP planning perspective. Follow up on MBOM corrections with different stakeholders (e.g. PM, NPI, Procurement, etc.).

Maintain material readiness overview accuracy (e.g. material tracker, request cycle counts, track program build plan changes, etc.).

Deliver material coverage and cost analysis as needed. Provide data-driven decision support through what-if and scenario planning.

Summarize risks for build milestones based on system material coverage and material readiness overview. Communicate road blockers.

Collaborate with technical stakeholders to automate and integrate AI to track projects.

Work in a highly dynamic and international environment.
What You'll Bring-
Preferably studying a relevant field like Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.

Experience in Supply Chain and work in a cross-functional environment

Knowledge of MRP/ERP with an understanding of discrete manufacturing, bills of material, product lifecycle management, procure to pay processes and supply chain operations.

Analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze data to enable operational decision-making, present and communicate recommendations.

Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment.

Passionate and self-motivated, with an open-minded and team-oriented attitude.

Microsoft Office skills, and fast adaption to new IT tools. Coding / low-code knowledge is a plus (e.g. Python, SQL or similar).

Advanced Level English. German is a plus.
