Peak International Group are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our growing international organisation, based in Frankfurt, Germany. This is a hands‑on, business‑focused role supporting employees and leaders across Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland, and UK‑based teams aligned to Europe, as well as future territories as the region continues to grow. The role will involve regular travel to our Head Office in Glasgow, Scotland (approximately 25–30%), alongside wider European travel as required.
Partnering closely with the European General Manager, and with a dotted‑line into the Group People Director, you will act as a trusted advisor, delivering both strategic and operational HR support while ensuring alignment with our global People strategy.
This role is ideal for a confident and commercially minded HR professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, international environment and enjoys balancing strategy with operational delivery.
Key responsibilities
Employee Relations & Compliance
Lead and manage employee relations matters across European countries, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes
Provide expert guidance on employment law, with a strong focus on Germany and France
Establish and manage Works Council relationships where applicable
Partner with legal advisors and external specialists as required
Support and coach managers on performance, conduct, disciplinary, grievance, and capability matters
Business Partnering
Act as a strategic HR advisor to the European GM and regional leadership team
Translate business priorities into effective people strategies
Coach leaders to build capability, engagement, and high‑performance culture
Support organisational change, restructuring, and workforce planning initiatives
Talent, Performance & Development
Drive performance management processes across the European region
Support succession planning, talent identification, and development initiatives
Contribute to regional development programmes aligned with global People strategy
Champion a culture of learning, continuous improvement, and leadership excellence
Recruitment & Onboarding
Partner with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition to support hiring across Europe
Ensure onboarding processes deliver a consistent and positive employee experience
Reward, HR Operations & Global Collaboration
Support salary reviews, benchmarking, and compensation discussions
Review country‑specific benefits to ensure market competitiveness and compliance
Ensure accurate HR data, reporting, and adherence to internal processes
About you
Proven experience in an HR Business Partner role within an international, multi‑country environment
Proven people partnering experience, with the capability to coach, influence and support people managers effectively
Strong knowledge of German, UK and French employment law
Willingness to travel across Europe as required with regular travel to the UK.
Experience working with or establishing Works Councils, ideally in Germany or France
Confident managing complex employee relations cases end‑to‑end
Comfortable operating both strategically and hands‑on
Experience contributing to regional or global HR programmes
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at all levels
Fluent English and German and French is essential, Italian, or Spanish would be an advantage
Willingness to travel across Europe as required
