Join a small, high-caliber founding team in Berlin building an AI-native automation platform for private market operations. This company — backed by a respected European venture fund at the pre-seed stage — is making complex fund accounting, treasury, and transfer agency workflows genuinely AI-first, connecting to existing systems without ripping and replacing them.
As a Product Engineer, you'll sit at the intersection of design and engineering, owning the interfaces through which operations teams collaborate with autonomous AI agents. You'll shape the design system, review flows, and human-in-the-loop UX patterns that make agent output trustworthy and easy to act on — from day one.
Develop and maintain the company's design system and UX patterns, establishing standards for a growing product surface.
Build intuitive product interfaces that connect operations users to AI agents and underlying data sources (emails, portals, bank feeds, ERPs).
Design and implement human-in-the-loop flows — review screens, approval steps, exception-handling — that let teams confidently act on agent outputs.
Create reusable, well-documented UI components in React and TypeScript (with Tailwind CSS).
Conduct user research with private market operations professionals to surface pain points and iteratively refine features.
Collaborate closely with co-founders and the broader team in a fast-moving, high-trust environment.
Required:
1–3 years of experience in product engineering, frontend engineering, or a design-engineering hybrid role.
Proficiency in modern frontend development with React and TypeScript.
Demonstrated experience designing and implementing design systems and reusable UI component libraries for production interfaces.
Hands-on experience building human-in-the-loop UX for AI/ML workflows — you know how to surface model outputs in ways that build user trust.
Ability to design and implement review and exception-handling flows within complex operational interfaces.
Strong cross-functional communication skills; comfortable working directly with founders and shaping product direction.
Eligible to work in Germany without employer visa sponsorship (sponsorship is not available for this role).
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with private markets, fund operations, or fintech workflows.
Experience with Tailwind CSS.
Background at or knowledge of companies in the AI agent, LLM tooling, or fintech automation space (e.g. Basis, Eigen, Willow, Decagon, Dynamo AI, or similar).
Salary: €70,000 – €110,000 per year, depending on experience.
Early-stage equity opportunity as a founding team member.
High-impact role with broad ownership and direct input into product strategy.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Berlin, Germany. The team works together in person and values in-office collaboration. Candidates must already be authorised to work in Germany — visa sponsorship is not available.
