Your Mission
You become an extension of the CEO's judgment: trusted to represent their priorities, take full ownership of strategic projects, and protect their time and focus. You context-switch constantly – strategy one hour, an operational fire the next – without losing the thread on what matters most company-wide.
You work closely with the CEO.
This role is being created to bring calm, structure, and follow-through to VARM's fast-moving environment, turning the CEO's intent into reliably executed outcomes.
Your Tasks
Represent the CEO's priorities and take full ownership of strategic projects across the company
Protect the CEO's time and focus, filtering and prioritizing what reaches them
Context-switch between strategy and operational fires without losing the thread on what matters most company-wide
Turn the CEO's intent into reliably executed outcomes
Your Talent
2–4 years of experience in a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment, consulting, investment banking, or VC – e.g. as a Strategy Consultant, Investment Banking Analyst/Associate, VC Analyst/Associate, Founder's Associate, Business Analyst, Business Operations Manager, or Project Manager
Alternatively, at least 2 years of experience as a Founder, Co-Founder, or Managing Director of your own company
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills paired with a proactive, hands-on mindset
Fluent in both English and German, written and verbal
Self-starter with a high sense of ownership and the ability to work independently
Genuine interest in contributing to our goal of energy-efficient buildings and a sustainable future
Why VARM?
Competitive compensation package: A mix of cash and stock options based on your appetite for upside – transparent, with no complicated bonus scheme to decode.
Freshly funded, here to stay: Join one of Europe's fastest growing climate companies, fresh off a €17.5M Series A. You're not employee #200 in an interchangeable corporation – you're part of the team building the next growth phase.
Impact you can count: Every qualified lead ultimately becomes blown-in, cavity, or rafter insulation in a real house – lower heating costs for the family, less CO₂ for everyone. You're not selling a software license, you're insulating Germany.
Right in the heart of Kreuzberg: Our office at Paul-Lincke-Ufer, directly on the Landwehrkanal – hybrid, with home-office flexibility, but close enough that you still see each other.
️ 30 days of vacation: A full 30 days. Whether it's a long summer break, an extended weekend, or just three days off the laptop in a row: with us, you don't have to fight for your time off.
Team, not just colleagues: We work hard toward our goal, but we don't forget how to be a team along the way. Regular offsites bring the whole team together, team events create space for informal exchange outside the daily business, and if you're into sports, the padel or running club is exactly the place for you. And because growth doesn't work without honest feedback, we give it to you continuously – direct, constructive, and not just once a year at review time.
Fully stocked: An espresso machine for your caffeine fix, soft drinks in the fridge, plus a cereal bar and snacks for the afternoon slump – all free and available anytime. No need to run to the café around the corner for the basics.
Your choice, your device: MacBook or Lenovo – you know best what makes you productive, so you decide. No default device you have to make peace with: we equip you with the hardware you'll feel comfortable with from day one.
About VARM
VARM is one of the fastest-growing climate-tech startups in Europe: we're rethinking insulation and helping homeowners make their homes energy-efficient – simply, digitally, and with a direct contribution to the energy transition.
