We are seeking a Senior Vice President to lead end ‑ to ‑ end fund accounting for German Special Funds (Chapter 3 InvStG) and institutional Chapter 2 funds in scope. You will be accountable for NAV production and the associated operating model, controls and regulatory obligations. You will orchestrate complex dependencies with the client and the client`s value chain, depositaries/custodians, external managers and auditors to deliver a controlled migration and resilient BAU service. This role is located in Frankfurt, Germany.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Own the full NAV production cycle for Special Funds, including daily reconciliations, exception management, depositary engagement, and materiality‑based escalations.
- Significant client‑facing responsibilities, with frequent interaction across various client stakeholders.
- Manage expense budgets and accruals; book and control depositary, custody, and other fund‑related fees.
- Coordinate and process all subscription/redemption activities for German institutional funds, including validation of investor register pre‑advice, trade and value dates; post shareholder transactions in the accounting system and distribute confirmed postings to stakeholders.
- Calculate applicable tax amounts (with PwC where required) and manage timing dependencies related to tax workflows.
- Oversee global certificate creation with custody teams and ensure timely transmission to Clearstream Banking (CBF).
- Coordinate system connectivity and data transmission channels for third‑party asset managers.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and complete booking of all transactions received; promote automation and reduce manual channels (e.g., BVI sheets, email).
- Monitor transmission quality and escalate any issues impacting completeness or timeliness.
- Run a robust incident management process, including error classification, stakeholder notification, remediation, and documentation of root cause and durable fixes.
- Operate and oversee CSDR gross/net models in line with mandate requirements.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- 12+ years in German institutional fund accounting with deep Special Funds and investor ‑ tax expertise under InvStG; proven experience leading migrations.
- Fluency in German and English.
- Adept with system integrations.
- Strong control orientation across NAV; audit and regulator facing experience; Big 4 background/qualifications preferred.
- Stakeholder leadership across depositaries, custodians, external managers and auditors; excellent communication and problem ‑ solving skills.
- Experience managing and influencing key internal senior stakeholders.
