Job Responsibilities : Job Description – Distribution Center Manager (Europe) Location: Rieste, Germany (Onsite – 5 days a week) Function: IT Operations / End-User Computing / Warehouse & DC Support ________________________________________ Position Overview The Distribution Center Manager – Europe will operate onsite at the client’s facility in Rieste, Germany. This role is responsible for providing advanced IT support within a large Distribution Center (DC) environment. The manager will research, analyze, pilot, and repair complex computer hardware and software issues. Strong customer service, communication, and teamwork skills are essential for resolving high-impact IT problems. DC manager should have prior experience in managing global IT team. This role provides end-user support for desktops, applications, mobile devices, and related technologies. It involves interacting with multiple levels of users including warehouse staff, managers, VIPs, and technical teams. A deep understanding of desktop systems and their integration with network, server, and identity management infrastructure is required. The successful candidate will demonstrate composure under pressure, adaptability, excellent collaboration, and a structured, methodical approach to troubleshooting. Expertise in Windows, macOS, mobile platforms, audiovisual equipment, printers, ServiceNow, and ITIL is required. “Smart Hands” capabilities are essential, including supporting network hardware, telecom, server rooms, printers, and other IT equipment. ________________________________________ Key Abilities and Knowledge Requirements • Expert-level understanding of computer hardware and software. • Proven experience diagnosing complex desktop, network, and infrastructure-related issues. • Strong knowledge of: o Anti-virus & anti-spam technologies o Wireless communication & mobile devices o Security tools and policies • Experience coordinating with multiple vendors, partners, and global teams. • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, Ethernet, Serial Interfaces, Active Directory, and Change Management. • Knowledge of JAMF, SCCM, Intune, FileVault Encryption. • Ability to ensure seamless interaction of desktops with file servers, email systems, conferencing tools, and application servers. • Quick learner with the ability to master new technologies and provide training/support. • Strong customer service orientation and ability to work under pressure. • Excellent English and German communication skills (verbal & written). • Exceptional documentation skills. • Ability to support remote users and multiple facilities. • High professionalism and strong interpersonal skills. • Ability to handle sensitive data responsibly and escalate when needed. • Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (printers, monitors, scanners).
Key Responsibilities
Roles and Responsibilities • Provide deskside support for end-user devices in a corporate Distribution Center environment. • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues; install, configure, or reinstall applications and OS (Windows & macOS). • Support Microsoft Office 365, macOS, Windows OS, smartphones, AV systems, PCs, printers, handheld scanners, and related hardware. • Manage and prioritize incidents and service requests through ServiceNow. • Utilize and update Knowledge Base (KB) documentation as needed. • Perform IMAC activities (Install/Move/Add/Change/Decommission). • Provide Smart Hands support for networking, telecom, and server-related tasks. • Manage printers and peripheral devices. • Perform asset inventory, audits, and lifecycle management. • Deliver VIP and Executive support when required. • Support additional corporate or retail sites as needed. • Reimage computers based on client standards. • Take full ownership of tickets and drive issues to closure. • Train staff on the use of hardware and software. • Collaborate closely with DC operations staff, lab technicians, and IT teams. • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skill Requirements
Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree or 8+ years of relevant IT support experience. • Strong hands-on experience with Windows and macOS. • Good understanding of network infrastructure and system configurations. • ITIL Foundation Certification preferred. • A+ certification plus one or more of: o N+, MCP, MCDST, MCSA, CST, CNCT, Apple Certified, etc. • 3+ years in desktop support, field services, or distribution center IT. • Dell-certified technician (for OEM parts replacement). • Strong Apple OS and mobile support knowledge. • Experience with JAMF Suite, SCCM, OS deployment, Intune. • Must be willing to work onsite full-time in Rieste, Germany. • Must be willing to work in shifts.
