The salary range for this position in Germany is between 75.000 € gross/year and 100.000 € gross/year. The agreed total compensation will be determined based on an individuals candidate’s qualifications and experience.
Your tasks - What can You expect as Toxicologist (f/m/d)?
Toxicological Assessment & Risk Evaluation
You assess raw materials, impurities, NIAS, and finished ink systems.
You develop toxicological evaluations for data‑poor substances using QSAR, read‑across, TTC, and weight‑of‑evidence approaches.
You review analytical data and migration studies to define realistic exposure scenarios.
Regulatory & Compliance Support
You ensure our products comply with global food‑contact regulations, including FDA, EU 1935/2004, the Swiss and German ordinances, FCM guidelines, and brand owner requirements.
Scientific Expertise & Collaboration
You advise R&D, procurement, and product development on safe material selection, manage toxicological dossiers, and engage with external partners and scientific bodies.
Innovation in Predictive Toxicology
You help drive non‑animal, modern toxicology approaches such as QSAR modeling, read‑across frameworks, in‑silico hazard prediction, and threshold‑based exposure evaluations.
Your profile - What you bring as Toxicologist (f/m/d):
You bring a Master’s degree or PhD in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field, ideally complemented by an ERT, DABT, or similar qualification.
You have at least 2 years of experience in toxicological risk assessment, preferably within the chemical, packaging, food, or consumer goods industry.
You offer strong knowledge in product safety, food‑contact regulations, and analytical or application technology.
You communicate confidently in English, both written and spoken.
You may also bring Experience with SAP MM or SAP EHS is an advantage.
