As a Safety & Reliability Engineer, you will be part of a dedicated System, Safety & Security team, working on complex engineering projects across multiple industries.
You will take ownership of safety analyses and ensure compliance with relevant standards throughout the development lifecycle.
Plan, conduct and manage safety processes and analyses
Perform safety and reliability assessments (FMEA, FMECA, FMEDA, Fault Tree Analysis)
Define safety goals and derive quantitative requirements
Create and manage safety documentation according to standards such as:
ISO 26262
ARP4754 / ARP4761
EN 50126 / 50129
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams (software, systems, data)
Support technical discussions with customers when needed
3+ years of experience in Safety or Reliability Engineering
Hands-on experience with:
Knowledge of relevant safety standards (ISO 26262, EN 50126, ARP4754 or similar)
Solid background in electrical engineering or related field
Fluent German (C1 level) and good English (B2+)
Completed technical university degree
Experience with tools like Medini Analyze or Reliability Workbench
Background in Automotive, Aviation, Rail or Defence industries
Experience with embedded systems / ECUs
Customer-facing technical communication experience
This role requires hands-on safety engineering experience (not purely managerial profiles)
Majority on-site presence in Friedrichshafen is expected
German language skills are essential for this position
Salary: €72,000 – €90,000 + performance bonus (up to €5,000)
