As a Senior Principal Engineer Software Concepts Power-Aware Automotive Computing, you will act as a key driver in our Platform Architecture Team to define the top-level software architecture for novel platforms. Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role
Act as a technical trend scout for future automotive microcontroller ecosystem- Define the top-level software architecture optimized for Infineon automotive microcontroller
- Be the key player for the definition of features for Automotive Embedded Software and the SW ecosystems around power modes, standby, related boot concepts and dynamic power scaling
- Drive hardware/software co-design for new microcontroller platforms and be a competent discussion partner and advisor for application and engineers and HW designers for your technical topics
- Take ownership for the definition and execution of proof of concepts
- Lead and conduct technical benchmarking activities
- Lead technical discussions with our software ecosystem partners & participate on a need basis in technical customer meetings with OEMs & Tier1s
- Act as a mentor for internal expert teams on current and future Open-Source market trends and tools
- Be a guide and adviser for roadmap planning for technical marketing activities
Your profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
A degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Information Technology, preferably a PhD- 10+ years of professional experience in the field of automotive and embedded software engineering, especially Open Source & Classic AUTOSAR & POSIX software
- Experience in some Automotive Applications where Power Saving is relevant
- Proven ability to take leadership in your field of expertise
- Deep technical understanding of Embedded Automotive Software like AUTOSAR Classic and POSIX environment
- Experience and understanding of functional safety and new security standards
- Extensive knowledge of different CPU cores like ARM, ARC, RISC-V, Tricore, etc.
- Understanding of modern automotive communication protocols like ethernet will be an advantage
- Experience how to leverage G(AI) in architecture and other activities
- Good communication and collaboration skills in English
