As a Senior Manager of RF Design Engineering you will lead the development of highly integrated RF modules for advanced mobile handset applications, guiding architecture, design execution, verification, and production ramp activities. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with people management, including mentoring RF design engineers, improving design processes, and partnering with key stakeholders to deliver innovative products that meet customer and roadmap requirements.
Responsibilities:
Development of highly compact multi-chip RF modules for 4G/5G/6G mobile handset applications including power amplifiers, switches, LNAs, and controllers
Analyzing customer specifications and developing module architectures to meet customers' requirements
Analysis and troubleshooting of sample performance and improvement of simulation accuracy
Define and organize characterization, design verification, test, and production ramp support
Manage, train, and mentor a team of RF design engineers
Provide technical leadership in all phases of product development
Encourage both technical and professional development, improve design flows and processes
Work with key stakeholders on activities such as feasibility, roadmap and product definition
Documentation and presentation of results
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in electrical engineering
12+ years of related experience or an equivalent amount of an advanced degree and experience in RF Design
Proven leadership in RF product execution and design innovation including experience training and mentoring RF Design Engineers
Experience with RF module design in the 1-10GHz range
Experience with ADS or AWR and HFSS or other EM tools
RF system knowledge (ACLR, NF, IP3, Rx-Sensitivity, Isolation requirements, etc.)
Good understanding of cellular RF systems and worldwide carriers
Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in Electrical Engineering
Project management and talent management skills
Ability to improve design flows, processes, and cross-functional execution
