INDEED Innovation is looking for a Product Design Intern (all genders welcome) based in Hamburg.

As an Industrial Design Intern at Indeed, you will be focusing on designing innovative products, services, and business models that are driven by holistic strategy and circular design principles. You will be part of our interdisciplinary team of designers, engineers, and strategists who aim to realize purposeful, commercially viable product solutions that create value for customers, the industry, and our world.
- Bringing excellent industrial design knowledge with an interest in sustainable product development.
- A fast learner, eager to explore evolving design methods and tools related to circularity.
- An excellent communicator, open to cross-functional collaboration and problem-solving.
- Passionate about developing purposeful, commercially viable product solutions that create value for customers, the industry and our world.
- Design compelling products, user experiences, and services across industries.
- Use your sketching, CAD and render skills to develop designs, working closely together with our team of highly professional designers.
- Research material flows, stakeholder needs, user journeys, and business environments within ecosystems.
- Investigate and refine (circular) design tools and methods that support recovery, recycling, and extended use cycles.
- Assess the environmental, economic, and social impact of products and services across their full lifecycle.
- Identify new innovation opportunities that align with business objectives and industry needs.
- Support innovation workshops and design sprints that embed circularity thinking into client teams and company culture .
- Enrolled in an Industrial Design, Sustainability / Eco Design, or a related program (min. 1,5 years of undergraduate study).
- Available for at least 4 months, ideally up to 6 months.
- Proficient in design tools such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
- Experience with SolidWorks and KeyShot is a plus.
- Strong sketching, 2D rendering, and form development skills.
- Proficiency in English (German is a plus).
- A valid work permit for Germany is mandatory.
- Eligibility: Mandatory internship as part of an accredited university degree program.
- Insights into the entire development process (from strategy to engineering).
