The Role:
Tesla’s Cell Team is looking for a highly motivated individual to manage new cell equipment projects as an internship. This is a cross-functional role that requires coordination between many different groups within and outside of Tesla. You will drive the deployment of new manufacturing equipment and processes. At Tesla, interns are given significant important projects. If you are analytically strong, solving problems, and get bored with mundane tasks, then this role is for you.
You will help the team drive Electrode related projects from concept through install, integration, ramp, and handover to production. Additionally, coordination of process development trials and engineering downtime scheduling will round out the scope of your activities.
What You'll Do

Work to develop comprehensive plans; outlining strategy, scope, schedule, risks, resource requirements, and cost targets.
- Assist Project Managers on the day-to-day responsibilities of planning, tracking, and reporting to ensure a smooth project implementation and timely deliveries with high quality.

Create, maintain, communicate, and present schedules for projects to the Cell leadership team. Independent decision making on planning details, control of the implementation and ensuring the transfer of information within the team.

Define and drive tasks to be performed by the cross-functional team. Help prioritize team project work based on schedule, risk, resources, and payback. Track status of projects and action items against the schedule.

Learn how to and then identify creative ways to overcome obstacles and meet the schedule despie setbacks.

Setting up, management and coordination of projects / project teams.

Be the interface to several stakeholders in different organizational units: e.g., IT (software and data engineering), control and automation engineering, manufacturing engineering, maintenance.
What You'll Bring

Pursuing a degree in engineering, management, computer science or related discipline.

English fluent, both written and spoken.

Strong analytical skills, entrepreneurial mindset, good business management and communication skills, willingness to learn, motivation, and reliable.

Remain engaged, proactive, and positive in tough circumstances, owning assignments and taking full accountability for overall team success. Resilience is a key plus.
- Aptitude to learn and incorporate new technologies.

Demonstrated experience creating, maintaining, and communicating schedules.

Ability to work cross-functionally and manage teams.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Knowledge and experience in automotive or other manufacturing environments either in development, installation and ramping up of manufacturing equipment, and/or project management is a plus.

Experience with Calendaring, Lamination, Coating, and Roll-to-Roll processes related projects is a plus.

Experience in Project management tools. JIRA and Confluence are a plus.
