Who we are
Our mission has started. We are starting our own battery cell production in Battery Valley in Salzgitter and ramping up our headquarters for global cell production. The Operations department takes care of all production related activities within the battery cell production. Our responsibilities vary from planning, constructing and rolling out the forthcoming battery cell factories. Furthermore, planning and implementing operating functions such as logistics, quality, production and plant management is also key elements within the area of operations.
Your role and key responsibilities
Develop, align, and implement the global ramp-up strategy across all PowerCo production sites, ensuring readiness and scalability of operations in alignment with dynamic market demands, geopolitical developments, and evolving customer expectations
Lead and coordinate all ramp-up activities across PowerCo’s global footprint, ensuring cross-functional alignment between production, engineering, quality, logistics, and digitalization teams while meeting targets for cost, quality, time, and sustainability
Establish and lead the Global Ramp-up Management organization, fostering a high-performance culture across multiple international locations and diverse teams, while developing leaders who embody PowerCo’s values and drive operational excellence
Drive the integration of new technologies and production concepts into ramp-up planning, assessing risks and opportunities, and ensuring alignment with the product roadmap and long-term competitiveness of PowerCo’s battery production
Manage supplier selection and equipment readiness for ramp-up projects
What you bring to the team
Excellent English language skills; Spanish is a plus
VW or PowerCo leadership certificate
Several years of leadership experience
Strong and proven management capabilities
Experience in battery manufacturing or electric vehicle (EV) production
Hands-on experience in the digitalization of battery cell production
Deep understanding of operational models used by global battery manufacturing companies
