Key responsibilities
Join our team and play an active role in driving the digital transformation of our production environment. You will support and further develop our MES and production applications, optimize processes, empower end users, and collaborate with a highly motivated team to deliver innovative, future-ready solutions.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Serve as liaison (SPOC) for production operators and supporting operations staff for incident handling and change requests regarding MES and other local applications.
Ensure execution of regular OT maintenance tasks.
Contribute to the development of MES and other local applications – from capturing requirements to independently implementing changes and enhancements. Create and maintain related technical and user documentation.
Support stakeholders in using existing applications and business intelligence tools, including ad-hoc data analysis.
Train end users on all supported applications and gather user feedback to contribute to the team’s continuous improvement.
Identify potentials for process improvements and drive the implementation of suitable solutions.
Work with a team of motivated and highly skilled individuals to drive digital
Qualifications for the role
Academic background or completed vocational training in economics, engineering, natural sciences, or information technology, or related fields. Candidates with comparable skills gained through hands-on professional experience are equally encouraged to apply.
Confident use of Office 365 tools. Experience in software development (esp. VBA, PowerShell, SQL), or business intelligence (esp. Power BI) and data analytics is a plus.
Prior experience in a discrete manufacturing setting, with MES (esp. Critical Manufacturing), or with SAP (MM, PP, or WMS/eWM) is a plus.
Curious nature and a high personal drive to learn new technologies. Ability to collaborate effectively in a small, cross-functional team.
Strong communication skills with fluency in German and conversational level in English.
Reliable on-site availability at our Heidelberg facility is essential for this hands-on role
