Chemical Engineer – Cutting & Grinding Abrasive Manufacturing (China)
A leading German manufacturing company is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Chemical Engineer to join its production team at its manufacturing facility in China. The successful candidate will play a key role in the formulation, production, quality improvement, and process optimization of cutting and grinding abrasive products.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize formulations for cutting and grinding abrasive products.
- Oversee and improve manufacturing processes to ensure consistent product quality and production efficiency.
- Monitor raw materials, production parameters, and quality control procedures.
- Conduct research and development to enhance product performance and reduce production costs.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with international quality, safety, and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, procurement, and R&D.
- Prepare technical reports, process documentation, and standard operating procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the manufacturing of cutting and grinding abrasives, bonded abrasives, or related industrial products.
- Strong knowledge of abrasive materials, resins, bonding systems, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in process optimization, quality control, and industrial production.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken). Additional languages are an advantage.
- Willingness to relocate to China.
