For our location in Düsseldorf, we are looking to fill the following position at the earliest possible date,
permanent and full-time:

Senior Financial Accountant (m/w/d)

Preparation of German annual financial statements
in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB), including notes and fixed asset and provisions schedules
Determination of differences between local results and IFRS results, as well as equity
Monitoring of balance sheet accounts (account reconciliation, account maintenance, and clarification of variances)
Point of contact for colleagues in India
Coordination of collaboration with the agencies’ controllers for which the SSC has been commissioned
Preparation and submission of e-balance sheets (E-Bilanzen) in coordination with the tax department
Provision of various documents in compliance with internal guidelines and forwarding to the agencies we have been commissioned by
Posting manual journal entries and reviewing them (for factual and technical accuracy)
Point of contact for external auditors and tax auditors
Preparation of analyses/reports in accordance with internal controls
Ensuring proper financial accounting and further development of administrative processes
Responsibility for the proper implementation of all finance and operational topics for the agencies
Preparation of VAT advance returns and annual VAT returns for Germany (DE) and Switzerland (CH)
Participation in projects in the area of financial accounting and reporting
Analysis and clarification of special topics and open items
Support in optimizing processes and systems (e.g., Power BI)
Taking on additional, role-related tasks as required

Proficiency in both German at a C2 level
Completed degree with a focus on business administration/accounting/controlling and/or completed training as a (international) certified accountant, or comparable qualification
Professional experience in financial accounting and accounting & reporting, or a comparable position in finance/audit
Very good knowledge of HGB and experience in preparing annual financial statements in accordance with HGB
Sound knowledge of international financial reporting (IFRS)
In-depth knowledge of preparing e-balance sheets (E-Bilanzen)
Very good knowledge of SAP
Very good MS Office skills, especially Excel
Good knowledge of analysis and finance tools
