About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Administrator to take ownership of our Microsoft 365 environment and hybrid IT infrastructure.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working across cloud and on-premise technologies, solving complex infrastructure challenges, and taking real ownership of IT projects and improvements.
You will play an important role in developing our hybrid IT landscape, supporting our cloud transformation, and ensuring secure, reliable and highly available systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain and continuously improve our hybrid IT infrastructure
- Administer and optimize Microsoft 365, including Entra ID and Intune
- Support the migration of on-premise systems and services to the cloud
- Manage and support Active Directory, Exchange Online/On-Premise and Group Policy
- Support virtualization environments such as VMware
- Assist with backup, security and infrastructure systems
- Ensure IT security, compliance, system availability and reliability
- Coordinate external IT service providers and work with international stakeholders
- Analyze infrastructure requirements and implement effective technical solutions
- Lead and independently manage IT infrastructure projects
- Identify opportunities to improve IT processes, systems and overall infrastructure
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in IT infrastructure / system administration
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure and Entra ID
- Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud and on-premise environments
- Good knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange and Group Policy
- Experience with PowerShell or comparable scripting languages
- Experience with virtualization technologies, preferably VMware
- Understanding of IT security, backup and infrastructure management
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
- Willingness to work as an IT generalist and learn new technologies
- C1 German language skills and good technical English
