Your position
In your new position as Manager, Accounting (f/m/d) for Wind Turbine Service, you will lead a team of six and ensure accurate local German GAAP accounting, VAT compliance and audit readiness — while delivering monthly group reporting and driving process improvements and automation to support an upcoming ERP upgrade. You will work closely with Group Accounting in Esbjerg, Denmark and stakeholders across Germany.
Your place of work can either be at our lovely, central office space in Hamburg, Germany, right at the pulse of most of our customers or in Emden, Lower Saxony at one of our major facilities. The position is full-time, and limited travel can be expected.

Your tasks & responsibilities
As Manager, Accounting (f/m/d), you will be the leader of our German accounting team and the primary overseer of the German part of our business as you will be responsible for the daily accounting operations of activities as well as running automation and process improvement initiatives. Naturally, there are differences in the economic procedures between the countries, and an important task will be building bridges between German and Danish GAAP. You will be the specialist with in-depth knowledge within complex controlling and will give guidance on how to manage the differences in a good way. Besides the accounting team in Emden, your primary collaborators will be Group Accounting in Esbjerg, Denmark as well as other colleagues in Germany.
Your tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Leading the local German accounting team while also taking part in the daily activities
- Preparing the monthly close for group reporting of monthly result with accuracy and transparency
- Leading and implementing process improvements and automation of accounting processes
- Preparing audit documentation and being the primary contact for audit matters for German GAAP
- Ensuring our books are compliant with German GAAP and VAT etc., reported timely and in good quality
- Ensuring quality and alignment and streamlining of master data, systems, and processes in preparation for ERP upgrade
Your profile & qualifications
We are looking for a motivated and analytical Manager (f/m/d) with a passion for accounting and a strong sense of ownership. You combine a business-driven, proactive and solution-oriented mindset with a strong aim to deliver high quality and the ability to prioritize without losing track.
To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:
- A degree in Economics or a related field
- Solid knowledge of applicable accounting regulations and principles, supported by relevant professional experience
- Advanced Excel skills; additional experience with PowerBI, Query and Pivot is an advantage
- Excellent analytical skills combined with a strong IT mindset and curiosity, enabling you to contribute to discussions based on the data
- Proven stakeholder management skills and a collaborative, service-oriented approach
- Fluency in German and English, with the ability to thrive in an international environment
