As an Electronics engineer for communication systems (m/f/d) and as part of our electronics team in Laatzen, you will be responsible for coordinating the development of industrial communication systems and interfaces for various signals (IO modules) from the initial idea to series production. This role will involve all phases, including architecture definition, detailing, prototyping, software creation, testing, and introduction to series production. You will work in an international environment and collaborate with engineers at other Emerson locations to successfully complete projects. By integrating your passion for electronics with hands-on involvement in the development process, you will ensure our systems achieve strong market positioning and meet business goals.
This position is on a limited term contract (12 months) and will work in a hybrid model (4:1) at our Laatzen office, but in this time you will learn and grow alongside our expert team, while also using your skills to help us develop new and innovative solutions to meet the needs of our customers. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Develop hardware for industrial communication systems & interfaces for various signals (IO modules);
- Support layout development and prototype manufacturing;
- Build software for various industrial fieldbus systems and controllers;
- Process information from sensor signals;
- Define and implement functional tests and system tests;
- Support EMC approval and production introduction;
- Collaborate with mechanical, hardware, and software developers in an international environment;

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Degree in electrical engineering or a comparable field of study;
- Several years of industry experience in developing sophisticated electronic systems and experience working in international development teams;
- Knowledge of all major industrial fieldbus systems;
- Familiarity with common sensors and their signal processing;
- Proficiency in the C programming language and the Altium layout system;
- Strong proficiencies in analytical thinking, structured work approach, and clear communication;
- Enjoyment and motivation in interacting and effectively collaborating with internal customers/colleagues in national and international projects;
Fluent English skills are required;
