At Telura, we're developing the next-generation drilling system which uses ultra-high-voltage electro-impulses to fracture hard rock, essentially "destroying with lightning," to enable economically viable drilling beyond today's geothermal hotspots and unlock affordable baseload energy anywhere.
Founded in 2025 and based in Munich, Telura works closely with customers, industrial partners, and leading European universities, is supported by SPRIND, and has raised $5 million to date from leading European investors.
We're looking for a Senior HR Lead to build and run our people function as we scale the team. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who knows how to identify and attract exceptional talent for hard technical problems. We care deeply about who joins this team, and we want your help making sure every hire raises the bar.
What You Will Do
- Scout for and win outstanding talent across technical, commercial, and operational roles
- Partner closely with the founders to understand what they need and build creative sourcing strategies
- Define and maintain a hiring process that is fast, rigorous, and a great experience for candidates
- Build out interview frameworks, evaluation criteria, and structured feedback processes
- Manage relationships with other recruiters, job platforms, and talent networks relevant to deep tech and energy
- Support onboarding to ensure new hires ramp effectively and feel set up for success
- Advise on compensation benchmarking, offer structuring, and equity communication
- Help establish foundational HR policies, employment contracts, and compliance basics for a Munich-based startup
- Act as a trusted thought partner to the founding team on people strategy as the company grows
What We Are Looking For
- Significant experience in HR, talent acquisition, or people operations, at the senior or head-of-HR level
- Direct experience hiring for deep tech startups or similarly specialized technical companies
- Comfort operating independently and managing multiple priorities across an early-stage environment
- Strong recruiter instincts: knowing where to find non-obvious talent
- Practical knowledge of German employment law and HR compliance basics
- Experience in working with Personio
- Ability to build lightweight, scalable processes
