The role
We are Storybook Studios, home to big stories and their storytellers. We need someone to own how we distribute our content: the strategy, the story we tell, and the audience we build around it.
This is the senior marketing seat. You set the direction; a hands-on Content Producer turns your campaigns into the daily stream of clips, posts, and assets. You'll architect the full campaign arc, grow the channels, run the premiere and events, and — the part that's unique to us — own how Storybook Studios talks about AI.
That last point matters. AI in film is a polarized space. How we frame what we do — as a new creative form, as a tool in the hands of artists, in conversation with the skeptics — is one of the most consequential calls this company makes. It needs experienced, steady hands.
Who this is for: a strategic operator who's also happy to build, in a small team where you'll do as much as you direct.
Who it isn't for: someone who wants layers of people below them and a machine that already runs.
What you'll own
- Campaign architecture — design the full arc (tease → launch → sustain) across the big film and the artist films
- Positioning & messaging — define how Storybook Studios shows up, especially on AI; navigate a contested conversation with confidence
- Social growth — set the growth levers and targets; turn a launch audience into a lasting one
- Events & premiere — plan and run the premiere and surrounding moments
- Paid media (steered, not executed) — own the budget and the results; brief and direct a paid freelancer or agency rather than running ads yourself
- PR & press — own the international press narrative and key relationships around the launch
- Lead the content function — direct and develop the Content Producer, and keep the whole output pointed in one direction
What you bring
- A track record leading marketing or major campaigns, ideally with measurable audience growth behind you
- Comfort owning positioning in a contested or fast-moving space — you can hold a clear point of view under scrutiny
- Experience briefing and managing freelancers and agencies (paid, PR) to a real outcome
- Event or launch experience — you've put something into the world, not just planned it
- Strategic range plus the willingness to be hands-on
- Early people-leadership instincts (one direct report to start, room to build a team)
Nice to have
- Background in film, entertainment, or the creative industries
- Genuine literacy in (and a point of view on) AI and its place in culture
What we offer
- A defining role in one of the most talked-about spaces right now — AI-driven film
- The mandate to shape how an entire company is positioned, not just to execute someone else's plan
- A direct line to the founders, the artists, and the work itself
