As Electrical Systems Engineer your mission is to ensure the low-voltage (28V) electrical system of our hybrid-electric aircraft is fit for its purpose and is integrated correctly into the aircraft, so that aircraft-level performance, safety, and certifiability are achieved across the lifecycle.
Working closely with specialists from propulsion, high-voltage electrical systems, avionics, structures, thermal management, testing, and flight-test teams, you contribute to the system-level definition and maturation of the low-voltage system. From requirements to verification, you drive the development of a safety-critical system at the heart of the aircraft.
-
Taking responsibility for a complete, consistent, and traceable requirements baseline aligned with aircraft, certification, safety, and program needs
-
Ensuring that system architecture, interfaces, operating modes, and constraints are defined, baselined, and kept consistent with neighboring systems
-
Communicating system-level assumptions, risks, and trade-offs
-
Ensuring verification and validation evidence covers all allocated requirements and supports system, aircraft, and certification milestones
-
Aligning suppliers, discipline teams, and integration partners in the sense that they work against the same technical baseline, interfaces, and acceptance criteria
-
Taking care about the system’s technical budgets, like mass, power, and thermal constraints
-
Taking responsibility for ensuring the system is ready for reviews, integration, ground or flight test, and service gates with agreed data, deviations, and residual risks
-
Engineering degree or equivalent qualification in aerospace, electrical, systems, control, or a related discipline
-
Proven systems engineering experience in complex technical products
-
Deep technical understanding of the low-voltage (28V) electrical system and its components
-
Professional working English for technical documentation and stakeholder communication
-
Experience in aviation or a comparably regulated industry, such as Space, Automotive, or Defense Industry
-
Structured and analytical mindset, enjoying working on technical interfaces across disciplines
-
Experience in coordinating technical topics with suppliers or external development partners
-
High level of self-management with the ability to work in a team, as well as an autonomous, target-oriented, and driven work style with analytic problem-solving skills
Moreover, it would be helpful if you also have
-
Familiarity with ARP4754A/B, ARP4761, DO-178C, DO-254, ISO 26262, or comparable standards
-
Experience with eVTOL, aerospace, electrified propulsion, high-voltage, avionics, flight control, or autonomous systems
-
Experience with requirements managment tool, e.g. Polarion
-
Full-scale aerospace engineering, not concept slides
