transformation, we are looking for a motivated and forward-thinking
Team Lead Materials Management to drive the development of our
European materials supply network and contribute to the future success
of our maintenance and supply chain operations.
What are your responsibilities?
Lead, motivate, and develop the Materials
Management team, both professionally and
disciplinarily
Design and continuously develop a Europe-wide
material supply and distribution network with the vision
of a 48-hour order-to-supply time across Europe
Take ownership of material requirements planning,
procurement planning, and inventory management to
ensure an efficient and cost-effective material supply
for the VTG freight wagon fleet
Identify, evaluate, and implement process
improvements across the end-to-end materials supply
chain
Drive the optimization and digitalization of ERP/SAP-
supported planning and materials management
processes, including the implementation of automation
solutions
Develop, establish, and continuously improve key
supply chain and logistics performance indicators
Manage budgets, costs, and business performance
within your area of responsibility
Manage supplier and service provider relationships
and activities
Sponsor cross-functional projects and work closely
with stakeholders across Maintenance, Procurement,
Operations, and Finance
Act as a change agent for the transformation and
future development of VTG's Materials Management
function
What qualifications do you have?
Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain
Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a
