The Team
As a Senior Associate/ Director (m/f/d) within A&M’s Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) with a focus on Financial Services practice, you will support the leadership team in advising leading private equity funds, financial institutions, and their portfolio companies on strategic and operational decisions throughout the transaction lifecycle. Drawing on A&M’s deep operational experience and senior resources, you will play a key role in delivering high-impact projects across the financial services sector.
How you will contribute
- Lead and deliver Commercial Due Diligence and value creation projects for private equity clients in the financial services sector
- Generate actionable insights on market dynamics, revenue growth, and profitability improvement opportunities
- Support go-to-market and growth strategy development for FS portfolio companies
- Drive business development efforts, strengthening A&M’s positioning in FS CDD and PEPI engagements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with private equity sponsors and FS management teams
- Contribute to the development of FS-specific methodologies, sector insights, and thought leadership
- Support recruitment, team development, and motivation, contributing to a collaborative and high-performance culture
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with relevant experience in a consultancy and the ability to translate complex financial services data into actionable insights
- Hands-on, non-hierarchical team player, fostering collaboration across deal teams, portfolio companies, and functional experts
- Objective, fact-based mindset with a solid understanding of FS value drivers and key industry trends
- High integrity and strong personal values, building trust with colleagues and clients
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken), with the ability to operate in international FS settings
