To strengthen the technical inspection in Lübeck-Travemünde, we are looking at the earliest possible time for a
Technical Superintendent (m/f/d)
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and nautical support for the vessels assigned to you
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise technical projects
- Prepare and manage dry-dockings, shipyard periods, repairs, and maintenance work
- Develop and monitor preventive maintenance measures
- Coordinate the handling of technical defects, damage, and insurance-related matters
- Monitor and take responsibility for maintenance and vessel operating costs
- Assess and continuously improve the technical and operational performance of the vessels
- Identify and implement measures to improve operational reliability and energy efficiency
- Work closely with onboard management, internal departments, shipyards, classification societies, and external service providers
Your profile:
- A university or university of applied sciences degree in marine engineering, ship technology, naval architecture, or a comparable technical discipline
- Practical experience in the operation and maintenance of ship machinery, ideally combined with seagoing or ship-management experience
- Sound knowledge of applicable national and international maritime safety rules and regulations
- A service-oriented and hands-on approach, with the flexibility to respond effectively to changing operational requirements
- The initiative and ability to develop and implement practical solutions for optimising vessel operations and energy efficiency
- Strong communication skills, team spirit, and a respectful approach to working with others
- Curiosity, personal initiative, and enthusiasm for new challenges
- Very good command of English and confidence in using standard Microsoft Office applications
- Willingness to travel and to visit the vessels assigned to you regularly
