The Team
This role sits within the EMEA
Corporate Transformation Services (CTS) team, which advises clients on improving profitability, managing crises, and driving sustainable operational and financial performance improvements. The CTS team supports clients across various sectors, for example automotive, chemicals, manufacturing, retail, tech, consumer, working with upper medium-sized businesses and international corporations.
Within CTS, the Deals team focuses on M&A-related transformation situations, supporting clients throughout acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs and post-merger integrations. We combine deep transformation expertise with hands-on execution capabilities to help clients realize value before, during and after transactions.
How you will contribute
As an Associate (f/m/d) in Deals, you support M&A Transformation projects in small, high-impact teams and work in a client-facing role. Supported by our European Corporate Transformation Services team you will:
Participation in international projects for the realignment of the (portfolio) strategy, the corporate organization or the company-wide increase in efficiency
Identification, development, and evaluation of portfolio measures in buy-side and sell-side situations
Planning and implementation of forward-looking M&A transformations with a focus on value enhancement
Steering of transformation and transaction projects in close cooperation with the management of clients
Qualifications
An excellent university degree;
+3 years of experience in a leading international consultancy or similar environment; exposure to Deals-related projects is highly desirable;
Solid understanding of key transaction-related transformation topics such as M&A, carve-outs, post-merger integration, restructuring and value creation initiatives;
Good financial acumen with hands-on experience in business planning and financial modelling;
Goal-oriented, proactive mindset with a strong willingness to learn and develop in a fast-paced advisory environment;
Collaborative and confident working style with good communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to contribute structured thinking, research, and analytical work in complex project settings;
Comfortable working in diverse, international teams, building credibility through professionalism, reliability, and high-quality delivery;
Business fluent in German and English; additional language skills are a plus.
