The Role
- Serve as the first technical point of contact for customers, sales teams, and distribution partners across the UK and Ireland.
- Provide second-level technical support via email, phone, video call, and on-site customer visits.
- Deliver technical product trainings for customers, partners, new employees, and internal sales teams.
- Support design-in activities, product evaluations, benchmarking, and technical argumentation for sales opportunities.
- Analyze customer requirements and develop suitable technical solutions based on datasheets, white papers, and technical documentation.
- Assist the sales team with technical input for quotations, offer preparation, and customer-specific solution proposals.
- Identify and generate leads from incoming technical enquiries and support new business opportunities.
- Act as the regional interface to HQ Engineering, Product Management, Test Lab, and other departments.
- Provide structured feedback on customer needs, application trends, market developments, and competitive arguments.
The successful candidate
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Energy Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification.
- Solid knowledge of power electronics and switching-mode power supply technology.
- Experience in technical sales, field application engineering, or customer-facing technical support is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to solving technical problems.
- Customer focus, empathy, and positive communication skills.
- Ability to communicate confidently with customers, partners, and stakeholders at different hierarchy levels.
- Persuasive, solution-oriented personality with a strong sense of ownership.
- Good MS Office skills and willingness to travel within the UK and Ireland when required.
