We are looking for a talented and motivated Scientist II to join our growing Medical Device Physical Testing team in Neu-Isenburg, Frankfurt.
This is an exciting opportunity for a scientist or engineer who enjoys hands-on laboratory work, problem solving, and working on a diverse range of projects within a highly regulated industry. You will play a key role in testing innovative medical devices and generating data that directly supports product development, regulatory submissions, and patient safety.
Working within an international environment, you will collaborate with colleagues and clients across Europe and beyond. As such, fluency in both German and English is essential.
Conduct physical testing of medical devices and materials to generate high-quality scientific data.
Manage routine client projects from planning through to completion.
Prepare technical test plans, protocols, and scientific reports.
Support the validation of equipment, methods, and laboratory procedures.
Develop and improve advanced testing methods, fixtures, and laboratory processes.
Perform statistical analysis and interpretation of test data.
Carry out risk assessments and COSHH assessments where required.
Ensure compliance with ISO standards, quality systems, and laboratory procedures.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the laboratory.
Collaborate with scientists, engineers, quality professionals, and clients to deliver successful project outcomes.
Degree in a scientific or engineering discipline such as:
Chemistry
Chemical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Materials Science
Forensic Science
Or a related field
OR
Significant relevant industry experience.
Fluency in German and English (written and spoken).
Experience working within a laboratory, testing, engineering, quality, or scientific environment.
Strong technical report writing and documentation skills.
Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering work to deadlines.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Experience within the medical device, pharmaceutical, or regulated testing sectors.
Knowledge of GLP, GMP, ISO 17025, or similar quality standards.
Experience validating equipment, methods, or procedures.
Physical testing experience involving materials or products.
Knowledge of metrology and measurement techniques.
Experience conducting risk assessments and laboratory safety activities.
