The Berlin Institute of Health at Charité (BIH) is dedicated to biomedical translation. Its mission is to translate research findings into personalized prevention, diagnostics, and therapies to benefit patients and provide the scientific community with effective tools. For the research group "Computational Neurology" starting from the earliest possible date limited for 3 years we are looking for 3 Doctoral Students (d/f/m) in part-time (25,03h/week).
The research group "Computational Neurology" develops machine/deep learning methods along with theory-driven approaches from physics to better monitor, predict and prevent health deteriorations in epilepsy, intensive care and other neurological settings. Our approach utilizes multimodal data over the health-disease continuum, including wearables, in-hospital neuromonitoring, video and EEG. We are also studying the foundations of optimal information processing in biological and artificial intelligence neural networks. We are a highly interdisciplinary group where medical doctors/neurologists work closely together with natural scientists including physicists/data scientists.
