I am building SciGen, an AI-powered marketplace where researchers, PhD students, domain experts, and academic mentors can turn their knowledge into income.
Research expertise is valuable, but today it is poorly monetized. Students and early researchers still search through WhatsApp groups, YouTube videos, random mentors, forums, and generic freelance platforms for help with papers, coding, statistics, methods, debugging, reproducibility, and academic writing. At the same time, PhD students, researchers, and technical experts have valuable knowledge, but no simple, trusted, research-specific platform to sell focused support.
SciGen is designed to solve this. It combines:
AI assistance for first-layer research help
Human experts for complex, high-value judgment
A marketplace for paid research services and content
Individualized LLMs for every Teacher, built around their expertise, research assets, teaching style, and student interactions
I am looking for a co-founder who can help turn this into a real product. A strong fit would be someone with experience in one or more of the following:
Product development
Full-stack engineering
AI/LLM applications
Marketplace platforms
Startup growth
Academic communities
B2B sales to universities/labs
Payments, subscriptions, or creator monetization
I am not looking for someone who only wants the title of co-founder. I am looking for someone who can execute, build fast, talk to users, challenge assumptions, and help validate the product with real students, researchers, and Teachers.
The first milestone is to build an MVP, onboard early research experts, test paid academic support, and validate whether individualized AI assistants can increase discovery, trust and expert monetization.
