Job Overview:
The Electrical Superintendent, Field Quality Control & Commissioning and start-up Specialist role is responsible for overseeing all high-voltage AC electrical construction activities and ensuring strict adherence to quality standards on the BorWin6 HVDC project, as well as being responsible for the planning, coordinating, and execution of electrical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities. Supporting safe and efficient start-up, performance testing, and achievement of contractual objectives. This position combines technical leadership with quality assurance responsibilities to guarantee safe, compliant, and timely execution of work.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- 7+ years in high-voltage transmission or substation construction.
- Proven experience in large EPC projects with underground cables and converter stations.
- Expertise in HV system installation, testing, and commissioning (GIS/AIS, HV switchgear, transformers).
- Strong technical knowledge of EPC electrical systems and commissioning processes.
- Familiarity with ISO and EU standards (PED, ATEX)
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and single-line diagrams.
- Experience in Field Quality Control & Commissioning.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
German Language level B2/C1

- OSHA 30 (Construction Safety)
- NFPA 70E (Electrical Safety in the Workplace)
- NETA Level III or IV (Electrical Testing Technician)
- NICET Level III or IV (Electrical Power Testing)
- High Voltage Switching & Isolation Training
- IEC/IEEE Standards Familiarity Certification
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
BorWin6 is a 980 MW HVDC connection project linking offshore wind farms to the German grid via converter platforms and a 235 km sea cable. The role involves supervising pre-functional testing, hot commissioning, and energization readiness checks in coordination with TenneT and EPC contractors.
