Intu Diagnostics is a Leipzig-based biotech spin-off from Fraunhofer IZI, building an instrument-free molecular diagnostics that bring lab-quality testing to people anywhere, from home use to underserved regions worldwide. We're a small, fast-moving team working at the intersection of molecular biology and microfluidic device engineering.
What you'll work on: You'll support our R&D team across wet-lab assay work and device/cartridge testing for our diagnostic platform. This is a hands-on role with real ownership - you'll be working directly on live experiments, not just observing.
Skills we're looking for:
· Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques (PCR, isothermal amplification, nucleic acid extraction, or similar)
· Comfort working independently in a lab environment with general guidance rather than constant supervision
· Attention to detail and careful documentation habits (you'll be helping build out our experiment records)
· Interest in device/cartridge testing, willingness to work across both biology and benchtop engineering tasks
· Degree (BSc or MSc) in biotechnology, biochemistry, molecular biology, biomedical engineering, or related field, recent graduates welcome
