ROLE OVERVIEW
The Market Lead serves as Meta's primary point of contact for stores across Southern Europe, managing the client relationship, providing operational oversight and driving weekly data analysis. They own the QBR process, identify cost efficiencies, and ensure all KPI and reporting obligations are met.
Covering Italy, France and Spain, the SEU Market Lead, in combination with the Senior Market Lead (EMEA) are the single accountable owners for program delivery across three of the largest markets in the EMEA footprint. They translate Meta's regional priorities into local execution and ensure consistent quality across all three countries.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Relationship Management
- Act as Meta's primary point of contact for all local Southern Europe activity.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with Meta stakeholders and regional retail partners.
- Translate Meta's strategic priorities into clear local execution plans for Italy, France and Spain.
- Working closely with the Senior Market Lead EMEA on implementing innovation & processes across the SEU region.
Operational Oversight
- Provide day-to-day oversight of Field Executives and tactical Merchandisers across the three markets.
- Ensure consistent execution standards and quality across all SEU countries.
- Coordinate with the central EU hub on parts, logistics and stock for the region.
- Taking ownership of local budgets, and providing clarity on spend vs. forecast to line manager (Senior Market Lead EMEA).
Field Sales Agency Collaboration (MMM Field Team)
- Act as the primary point of contact for the MMM field team (sales staff across SEU), delivered by separate local agencies we collaborate with across Southern Europe.
- Build a strong, cooperative working relationship with the MMM agency to ensure smooth joint delivery in the field.
- Own the escalation path: triage, assign and close out field issues handed over by the MMM agency.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Drive weekly data analysis on visit completion, distribution and KPI performance.
- Ensure all KPI and reporting obligations to Meta are met accurately and on time.
- Surface trends and insights from field data to inform programme decisions.
QBR Ownership
- Own the Quarterly Business Review process for Southern Europe end to end.
- Prepare and present QBR materials covering performance, learnings and forward plans.
- Align with Senior Market Lead EMEA & Meta on objectives and commitments for the coming quarter.
Budget & Cost Management
- Track regional budgets across field operations, logistics and resourcing, and flag variances early.
- Build quotes for ad-hoc and spontaneous requests quickly and accurately.
- Identify cost efficiencies and optimise visit planning and routing to maximise coverage per euro spent.
REQUIRED PROFILE
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in account management, field operations or retail execution, ideally within an agency environment. Strong understanding of retail and in-store displays. Preferably, previous experience with working with the local CE retailers.
- Client management: Proven track record managing client relationships at a senior level, ideally with global brands.
- Languages: Fluent English plus at least one of Italian, French or Spanish. Additional SEU languages are a strong advantage.
- Tools: Confident in the full Google Workspace suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides) and comfortable navigating reporting and BI platforms.
- Analytical: Strong analytical skills: able to turn weekly field data into clear insights and actions.
- Mindset: Structured, calm under pressure, and a strong communicator across both retail and corporate stakeholders.
- Mobility: Willing to travel across Italy, France and Spain as required for store visits, team management and client meetings. Regular Head office visits to the UK and / or Germany are possible.
