In this role, you will play a key role in the development and design of plastic injection molding solutions. You will oversee projects from the concept phase through to production readiness, working closely with internal departments and external partners.
Design & Development
Design and review of tooling for plastic injection-molded parts in accordance with specifications
Design using VISI CAD software
Design and construction of test equipment to ensure compliance with defined quality requirements
Component & Process Optimization
Evaluation of product designs for manufacturability in the injection molding process
Conducting filling simulations with CADMOULD to evaluate and optimize processes
Assistance in evaluating drawings and specifications
Defining and coordinating corrective actions during tooling production
Automation & Manufacturing
Project Management & Interface Coordination
Technical project management from project initiation through to production readiness—both in-house and externally
Close collaboration with tooling, quality assurance, and sales to ensure the project runs smoothly
Adherence to project plans, deadlines, and budget targets
Documentation & Communication
Preparation and formatting of technical documentation and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
Technical support for the sales team in handling customer inquiries and presentations
Communication with customers, suppliers, and international colleagues in German and English
You have a solid technical background and experience in toolmaking or plastic injection molding. Your profile is rounded out by practical knowledge of design and the ability to communicate confidently in an international setting.
Professional Qualifications
Completed training as a toolmaker specializing in injection mold making, or further training or a degree as a technician, design engineer, or engineer
Work experience in tool design or in the procurement of injection molds
IT & System Skills
Proficiency in using common Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
User experience with SAP, preferably in logistics-related modules
