Your tasks

Your tasks include the preparation, execution, and evaluation of numerical flow simulations (CFD) in the field of hydraulic turbines.
You support the selection of the meshing strategy, the numerical modeling, and the automation of the post-processing.
You analyze the turbine characteristics with regard to different operating ranges and compare the numerical results with measurement data obtained from real turbines or in the in-house measurement laboratory.
You collaborate with experts from simulation, measurement technology, hydraulic design, and strength calculation across different disciplines.
Your work contributes to supporting the energy transition.

Your profile

You are an enrolled student (m/f/d) in mechanical engineering or a similar engineering course.
You have basic knowledge of computational fluid dynamics.
Knowledge of the software Ansys CFX and a programming language (e.g. Python, Perl or similar) is an advantage.
You have a good command of written and spoken English, knowledge of German is an advantage.
You are a team player with the ability to work independently and have a structured and goaloriented way of working.
